More About The 75.2

The Heatsink

The heatsink of the 75.2 is compact and lightweight, while still offering plenty of heat dissipation. This amplifier has been tested in environmental chambers at temperatures above 248F (120c). Even at these extreme temps, the heatsink provided plenty of cooling to keep the amplifier running properly. The amplifier’s mounting feet are integrated into the heatsink.

The Power Supply

There isn’t one….this amplifier uses the 10v-16.2v input voltage as its rail voltage. This allows the amp to be simplistic and reliable. The amplifier uses six Wurth 1000uf capacitors to store and filter power for the output section. Several ceramic capacitors are strategically placed around the board for additional filtering and decoupling. An onboard 20-amp fuse is fitted to protect the amp and your vehicle in the event of an overcurrent situation.

The Output Section

The output section of the 75.2 is powered by two TDA7575B IC’s. Each IC is being ran in 1 ohm mode. Doing this allows the amp to make significant power without the use of a power supply.  These IC’s have excellent built in protection features and a convenient clip indicator output. We are using the through hole variant of these IC’s to help dissipate heat to the heatsink more efficiently and to keep heat away from other components on the PCB.

The Preamp

The preamp section of the 75.2 is driven by two 072 op amps. Each channel has its own completely separate preamp circuit. This allows the filters to be set differently on each channel. The filter network is composed of all passive components. This makes for a reliable and robust filter circuit.

Testing and Development

The 75.2 has undergone several design revisions during our six months of testing. Our goal with this amp is to bring our customers a well-built, reliable, and affordable amplifier that is one of a kind. The 75.2 has gone through extensive environmental, vibration, and load testing to ensure reliability.

Warranty Info:

Each amplifier comes with a one-year limited warranty. This covers manufacturer, component, and material defects only. Improper installation and abuse are not covered under our warranty. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser. If you have any issues with your amplifier beyond the warranty period, please reach out to us through our repair request form and we will be happy to help.
